Birthday with Fishy!
Okay, I’ve taken a habit to calling my dearest Lafina as Lafishna - and like, the whole school probably knows by now. If you don’t already know - you’re doing something wrong, or that you’re not in the loop. Sorry. *grins evilly at YOU*.
Ok, ok - I was just kidding.
Yes, my birthday will be over in like 15 minutes, if we’re considering Singapore time (GMT +8).. but then again, I can always claim that we’re following some weird country’s time, and we’ll probably have an extended 24 hours for me to bug you for presents celebrating being, having added one more year, yes, that one. Haha. *Looks innocently*
Yes, those are mini-white roses made out of white chocolate… Handcrafted, too!
This, of course, is the birthday cake, lovingly delivered by my dearest other fish - Lafishna. And.. she actually pulled me up to make sure I was awake right in the morning =X Oh yes, if you haven’t already figured out by now, Kelvin has a fetish for close-up macro shots of almost anything.
(PS, if you have a spare macro lens for a Canon Digital SLR - you know, those big cameras which you can swap lens with some cool stuff - feel free to donate them to the Save the Kelvin Foundation. Of course, I’ll be eternally grateful and will shower you with macro pics all day/night/evening long.)
..and just so you could have an overview of the cake - which is, at close - one word: Stunning! White chocolate with cream is alluringly yummy. And it melts in the mouth, too - did I mention that earlier on?
Oh yes, that’s my brother on the left - Kenneth. He’s like in Secondary One - and he already has a chain of girls after him, lah. The last I remembered, all the girls in his handphones had two-letter-acronym names, such as “CL”, “NT”, and stuff like that. But then, the acronyms aren’t the fun parts - the message contents were.
If only.. someone actually read the contents out loud. *grins* - and we’ll know what our fellow secondary school kids were thinking in the kinky sense of things.. we could do a completely scientific, no-nonsense behavioral experiment segregating 13 year old kids from… well, 13.5 years old based on certain.. profiles.
I’m starting to think that perhaps I should keep a subdomain like “HAWT.yandao.com” for my younger brother’s usage - I think he’ll mature faster, and need it MUCH more than me.
Obviously, on the right of the pic - that’s my mum. Please say “hi” to her if you bump into her in some supermarket, food court, or shopping center. She’ll be kind enough to buy you lunch if you say you’re Kelvin’s friend =x
And this, of course, is my dearest Lafishna, by my side, posing while my pack of Cannot-blow-out Candles were on my birthday cake. Apparently these candles give off black powdery stuff - but it’s almost invisible, lah. Yes, you can order them to prank some other friend, too.
She’s a lucky gal, isn’t she? And that, of course, makes me a very lucky guy.
(However leh, I am still lacking in lottery numbers…)
Oh yes, the box. My dearest fish mentioned that some China-locals/students actually asked her on the bus where she bought her “pink handbag” - it was actually the super-huge cake box which of course was curvy all over and VERY very eye-catching.

We reached Jumbo Seafood @ Dempsey Road at like, 6.30pm, with a spot lovingly booked by Fish’s mum, and of course, it was one of those seats with an AMAZING ambiance, killer leather seats, and zen-ish tables draped in white cloth.
Seated beside us (both left, and right) - were two groups of people with.. er, alternate lifestyles. On my front was a table with a clearly.. erm, Male Guy-Female Guy relationship couple, and at my back, was a whole table of well-toned metrosexual guys in tight tops, which tended to speak a little TOO.. TEH-ishly. Oh, they called for a manager with the similar profile, too…. I’ve nothing against people with alternate sexual preferences, but, I have 3 questions
- 1. Wouldn’t having too many gay couples lead to less “conventional” couples?
- 2. Wouldn’t Point #1 mean that there would be more gay female couples, too?
- 3. Wouldn’t Point #2 indirectly refer to the fact that…. there’d be less, well, conventional females around?
