Rants before the Sweetness.
Yes, yes, Yandao.com has been severely lacking update, but still somehow manages to mantain around thousands of visitors daily. I guess my old articles really “dig” people into reading. Either that or you, my dear reader, never ceases to try to decipher the loads & loads of puns used all over Yandao.com
It’s all right, though. Thank you everyone for your support, and to those from RP’s drama.republic whom my girlfriend, Lafina overheard saying “I saw the creator of Yandao.com in the library, he not bad leh”, I would like to question if “not bad” refers to “not good” =X
*Sighs* So that’s how the school students in RP sees me after all I’ve… I’ve… [coughs]
Nevertheless let’s start with the milder issues, before I get into the lovey dovey ones with me and my girlfriend. Yes, yes, I know you’ll get jealous if you see the sweeter things, but try to control, okay? Otherwise, in the very near future, when I get my new project, CHIOBU.NET up - perhaps you could use it to find a.. *hint-hint* so that you don’t have to envy Lafina and I.

You know, they tend to say that people get forgetful real fast - and stunts here and there are always needed to help them with that slight memory problem. First things first - oei, remember this or not? - It’s likely sitting there on your desktop, if you’re a Republic Polytechnic student

Yup. Finally, collaboration starts. That took quite a while to get pushed out, though, they say bureaucracy is of course tideous. I agree, to an indefinitely… far extent. (Very, very, very far.)
Oh, and last week, the scholarship which I had long coveted from one of Singapore’s largest (actually, Singapore is too small to have more than one) Infocomm development organizations - well, the people behind i, at least - dropped me the following e-mail saying that they’ve rejected my impeccable track record.

It was the name which caught my attention. (Right at the bottom of the page, where the salutation was.)
Strange, wasn’t this one of the names from the very prominent Gahmen agency which kicked me out of the iWhiz competition held awhile back for over-achieving - citing a multiplex of reasons? (and replaced that empty space with an “well-achieving” scholar)? Perhaps.
Fine. I shall work on it on my own. Someday I’ll achieve more than the BEST *cough* Elitist from your damned agency.You wait and see, niah.
Oh well, what to do, our country always believes in the colour of “purity”, “innocence”, and.. well, [insert any white colour-related words here]. Quite late to change that mindset of theirs. Perhaps all that’s left is a few of us with quite abit of crap to say, and rants to point out.
Wait wait wait. I promised sweetness, but honestly, at this hour - my flow of “sweet” language doesn’t exacty cum, er, come, I mean, smoothly. Hence, the need for stimulation of the.. taste butts, buds. Yes, yes.
A few days back, Lafina’s mum went all the way to place an order of some of the nicest cupcakes (which I muddle-headedly proclaimed as muffins during the sugar-rush acquired from that heavenly chocolate taste of them) I’ve ever tried.
Trust me, I eat EVERYTHING - surely my taste got some kind of standard, though not of those gourmet chef kind, lah. Unless you’re willing to sponsor my expenditure for food - then I’ll start a food-related blog, and run for President of some new club in school which Ivy Chen mentioned quite awhile back - think: Gourmet IG - a co-curricular activity ran in RP serving the taste buds of its prestigious members. HWAH!
Looks good? Chocolate Cupcakes topped with Fresh/Chocolate Cream and a Fresh Raspberry! Woohoo. Made-to-order, by HalfBaked-Ideas, quite pricey - $3.50/piece ($35/box) - but considering that indescribable taste, very, very good. FAR FAR FAR FAR better than those from store outlets!:

I think they reject must have reasons, after careful thoughts. Maybe the other people who also apply are also really really good and so on (afterall talents are everywhere). I would say that they are generally fair unless somebody had previous bad records, anger them or whatever.
Instead of complaining non stop I think one should just do what he can to prove others wrong in the future rather than useless ranting which could also land you in further trob

Hope you don’t get offended. I just feel that you should reduce your ranting at government agencies as it could get you in trouble with law.
o: As a matter of fact, I did anger them - by contesting against their decision during iWhiz, made quite a big hoo-haa by threatening to expose it to mass media - so much that a big big warning letter was sent out to cover things up.
Generally, these small production firms who make variety shows such as iWhiz (programmes are NOT made by MediaCorp directly, so not their fault), always strive to cover backside first, otherwise later got scandal already less $$$ comes in.
I made a few allies, and pissed a few people, generally, that’s about it, but I also learnt the ways of the “world”, where playing politically is recognized, not playing with skillsets or abilities. We got to love the media, man.
Also, yes, I rant alot about the govt agencies at times, I mean, who doesn’t? GST increase, we complain. Tax increase, we also complain. ERP increase, we complain. They talk about responsible blogging, I dare to support my claims and my stand - if its a true fact, that is.
If it’s *REALLY* what happened - and there are people who know it did happen, or did occur. If it’s a bunch of mindless bull, I wouldn’t even write it. But still, thanks. Really appreciated - the law seems to have a “liking” for me alot.
