Resoluting 14 Days After
Almost everyone I’ve come to be acquainted with who owns a blog scribbled down their New Year Resolutions two weeks ago – 14 days.
Strange, isn’t it – how everyone aims to be unique in their own distinct style, but end up scribbling resolutions all the same. (Then again, one *could* argue that I’m nonetheless “common” since I’m even having resolutions too, but… but…) Frankly, I tried taking lots of time this New Year (or the few days around 1st January) to decide what I really wanted, what I could change, and stuff. Somehow, I was at a blank and only suggested crappy changes to myself.
Would YOU make crappy changes just for the sake of doing it? Changes like: Wake up 10 minutes earlier for school this year, spend less pocket money, learn to feed the pussy, er, cats, under your HDB subsidized block, donate more money to 1900-112-6868, and the works. – I consider them crappy, really.
…For the very fact that you’re being a better person just for the sake of being better and making a change. If you really saw resolutions/changes this way – you’re better off NOT changing. Hence, I took a long 14 days, to see what would knock on the door, what would go, and what really “changed”.
Amazingly, things turned out mostly in a positive state (except for the fact that I had a very ugly quarrel with Lafina darrrrr-linggg – the sweetest gal of my life, though it got resolved eventually 
). Oh, that reminds me, I do need to work on that occasional hot-headedness of mine. Deduct a few points from me please, everyone, so that I’ll keep that in mind.
(Wei How – if you’re reading this, I apologize for screaming shit at you in class, but just try not to push me when I’m already under the tremendous pressure of completing assignments by 2PM when the time then already is 2.30PM). Back to the issue of resolution, then. Come 2007, Kelvin goes back to school, sees it as normal. I’m sure for the masses – it will revolve around somewhere there, too.
Oh, first thing Kelvin spots – Yandao.com doesn’t generate such a hype anymore. Doesn’t matter – I learnt the really really hard way about deciding between my website, and the loveliest girl of my live, when I made a fuss over the take down of (the existing) KelvinAndLafina.com, and we ended up in a big quarrel.
Yes, yes, this happened on the first day of the new year – hence, I will have to add it to my list of aspirations for the new year – getting rid of silly tempers.
Still, in the previous year, I have been spending crazily on almost everything I see and felt interested in, with some pocket money *cough* I obtained from the slightly “greyer” areas of, er, the industry. Yes, the IT industry, and yes, they contribute largely to my sometimes extensive income. Note that grey is not black, okay?
This year, something crazy happened: I’m offered 6 projects within the month. Each project should keep me busy for several weeks, and hence, I shouldn’t really come out with new cranky tools for everyone to use, courtesy of yours truly. Maybe I’ll grab the 2007 Year 1 photos, if I can, that is… Then again, these projects should keep me well-funded, I hope.
I need to eat, you know. Food is expensive.
What changes here, is that, I’m considering moving my income entirely to the whiter areas of the industry, whatever industry that may be. Scary. Temptations of the dark side, can actually consume you, as a person. I’ll probably talk about temptations sometime soon, and no, I’ll try not to get YOU tempted. Okay?
Still, temptation is yet another issue I have to work on. Lafina complains I get tempted easily, but I think its just by her. Do all you guys out there get tempted by your girlfriends more easily? – For those of you who’ve decided to “aim” abit more straight now, and focus fire on a specific target, at least? Perhaps you’ll agree. Eunice, if you’re ever reading this, you’ll agree, no?
Oh well, Kelvin has to remain motivated, and before he goes to some state of possible hibernation with not-so-much publicity, I’ll release an RJ generator here, soon enough – basically, generate loads of crappy words with no true meaning for your RJ’s 
Off to more thinking now, hopefully I’ll learn to see positively through these life-changing restructures.
