Trust and Sushi

Posted by Kelvin in Everything

I wonder if everything that happened today were to be classified into Positive and Negative categories – how many of each would I accumulate? But no, happenings and incidents can't be classified this way – some seemingly bad things always turn good in the end - like the misunderstanding I had with Lafina the other evening, it seems both me and her has alot to learn. Wink

Still, if you may, allow me to go back a little to the sushi talk. I miss sushi – haven't had any in a while.. But that doesn't mean I refrain from other side dishes. Anyways, I've adapted a little folk story, about a Frenchman - Jacques DeRiw, who happens to find himself in a sushi joint. Pretty entertaining, if you're into the food scene, I suppose…

DeRiw walks around the Sushi District near his home, taking in the scent of freshly cut sashimi and sushi around him. A plate of sushi goes past. He turns his head and stared at it blankly. Wow. It's like nothing he's seen before – but he knows that those are premium sushi, only meant for those with Imperial Credits, or those who could be patient enough to wait for the chef to complete those royal orders, first.

Then, DeRiw approaches a roadside sushi stand; and sees a very unique plate of sushi on it – Milk sushi. He then realises that he hasn't saw one made out of milk in ages. He reaches forward to grab a plate – but then he gets stopped, and a sweet voice was heard, "Eeh ('sorry' in Japanese), sushi not for sale, only can taste it – that is new product". DeRiw nods and understood the message. All the more interesting – sample only sushis!

He lifts up his chopsticks and pick a small one up, feeling the sushi melt onto his tongue as he puts it into his mouth. When was the last time he had something so casual yet creamy? He thinks back about the sushi bento delivery service order he placed back a few weeks ago – Japanese Rice, 2 mixed dishes, and Miso Soup… The mixed dishes were okay, just that the Miso Soup turned chalky at times, and he doesn't like soup he can't see through!

Enough with the DeRiw short story – I really do think I should write a book sometime, it will hit the Bestsellers, I'm sure. People can figure out puns and stuff more efficiently nowadays. They'll probably start associating creamy with sexual juice or something. Not my fault, though. I'm just a writer, however they wanna intepret it is their own perception.

Now, here's MY perception. I have a problem with the truth, accepting it, specifically. Simply put: I don't trust people – and even if I do, it's only for the moment; NOBODY nor anything has my absolute trust, because I know at one point or another, things tend to look doubtful and unclear.  *Sighs* The real world. How nice.

But at least I get to hug Lafina all the way to school from the MRT, and that does help a lot! Having her by my side and all. Yes, that also includes the small little pecks on the cheeks! Love her for everything she is, and that! <3*

 Me and Darling! (National Day)

Anyways, they had this Technoprenuer talk in school today.. and being the inquisitive/wannabe I was, I of course went and checked it out (for the points, that is.) Then, there was this CEO of TenCube – a local company who develops handphone applications for recovering lost/stolen phones – who was going around asking if we had questions.

Kelvin's mind got to work, and in under a minute, constructed a question to get him in a fix. What I did like about him was the way he handled the situation – no denial, no crap, no bullshit – straigtaway "We'll look into the flaw"! Wow. How many firms' CEO do that about their flagship product?.. and as I walked out of the Lecture Hall, his assistant approached me with a namecard and asked if I wanted a job.

Personally, I'd take it – but if taking it means time-off with my darling, then no. I'd rather not. Chances and opportunites can be created all so easily. I've created so much for myself!

Wait wait. Trust? What about it?

  • I just don't trust the whole idea of working for the company I just made lose face
  • I don't trust it when my classmates ask me to do something
  • I don't trust other people's work
  • I don't trust people's abilities

and there's so much more in which I don't trust! *sighs*

Who do YOU trust? ..or WHAT?

greym0nk: lol! this article wasn\’t finished yet, actually. i fell asleep and clicked the submit button somewhere along 9pm or something.. ahhh! the question was \”If I remove the SIM card from the phone, won\’t your whole software be useless (+ technical explanation in layman terms to around 150 people)\” – in regards to the program at their website

but you must have trust to a a certain extend in order for work to be done,no i’m not talking about physics,or physical aspects here ;) ,yes intervention could be done, but theres things other then work that sometimes requires trust, being unable to trust someone is quite hard fact to swallow.

oh yeh iv gotten the “theres someone walking behind you” song, gona play it in class on monday

ahhh. shit shit. i re-read the post, and i was missing out a load of the bulk at the bottom. but for those who actually understand the meaning behind the words… trust is referring to something else

still, no, i’m not specifically saying everyone. i’m just saying people who think they know shit, like our dear beloved unique self-confessed jappy girl. sure. she knows shit, literally.

and fredrik bro, swallow? i thought its quite easy leh =x
