Risks VS Personality

Posted by Kelvin in Everything

Dang. The previous week just like flew across. It’s amazing how a few days can make up a week when you’ve great company, be it physical (next to you, right now), or not-so-physical (maybe on MSN Messenger, or through SMS messages). I’m actually still feeling that I’m still in last week. Time-lagged, I suppose.

Nevertheless, I’m deciding to take a gamble based on my Realisation (in the previous post) as to how things could really go. That probably sums it up, Risks VS Personality. Risks - would be the risks that I’m actually taking - stirring up a big hoo-haa with that someone special, and Personality - being what really is this blog is all about (and yes, user retention strategies, I do want to keep my readers, still.) No no no, it should never be restraint, not yet, at least.

Much have been gone through this past few days, as an Event Manager for an Interest Group in the school, I do feel the pressure on me to “come out with” events for things to happen. Maybe even having to turn to people whom I actually pissed off in the past and threated to file lawsuits against. Now, that’s reality, the horrible situations in a country whereby the law stays above all. (And what happens if we stay above it? No. I’m not going to answer that, not yet.)

I’ve felt much “altered” these few days. Suddenly, I’m joining Zixin and Serene twice in a week for lunch (and today’s only Wednesday) and trying to stay *OUT* of their clique. By that, I do mean that I do not want to end up being a “fellow”, like what Wesley unknowingly (probably) evolved to. I’m not saying its bad - you get a few great friends which would stay alongside you for a long, long time - but looking at the numerous limitations that come along with it? Do the math, like Fredrik did, Wesley, if you’re even reading this. You want to stay in the game as someone which controls the aspects of the game, or you prefer being the rental clerk which hands out the DVDs? I’m sure this psuedonym is not one which anyone would have problems deciphering.

Maybe even with a proper manifesto set, Kelvin is still not himself. Too many personalities, images (aka dressing styles), social circles? Perhaps. One day you see a guy who dresses like the facilitator in formal attire with only 1 button down from the collar, the next, someone in a Polo Tee with the collars flipped upwards, and maybe on the third, you will see an average guy in 3-quarter pants, carpet-surfaced slippers, and a flashy chain over the neck. That’s how unpredictable things are, and how unpredictable the situation has been for the previous few days (or weeks? or months?).

What else do I have on my “asset” list? Around 5 potential DVDs which I don’t think anyone has rented yet, and that I’ll probably get a great screening, and one which is in the player right now ;) Go figure, guys.
