After Effects

No, really. Do you often get the idea that things from your past are trying to do you in?

How about if they always come at a time so precise that they just shoot down your ideas + ambitions just like THAT?
Gawd, I do.. and this probably explains the lack of a proper “life” this weekend, or why there hasn’t been an update this weekend – or maybe why I even bothered starting a book entitled A Hacker Manifesto, by McKenzie Wark. That title does sound corny, doesn’t it.

A Hacker Manifesto

Then, I’ve started feeling all gloomy and down again, probably due to these ideological shootdowns.. and started watching DVDs whenever I can.. So far (this weekend), its The Mechanik, Syriania, End Game, The Myth and a few other movies which were away from the main stream. Yes, I support Independent films. Sometimes, they can be better then the Hollywood crap they always show at your local cinema during the afternoon matinees. Now, that’s scary. Talking about scary, maybe I should just google for a CAM release of Scary Movie 4, heh.

Then, came something fairly unexpected, Joyce asked me out again, and blah, once again I couldn make it. Then someone tried to get my number, and I turned that someone down on grounds that I was unreachable at most of the times, and I would like it to remain that way… and then just 2 hours ago I was so absorbed with a sushi on the morning bus trip that I almost alighted earlier then where I was supposed to. What the…?

MRT

Then came the part where I boarded the train. Somehow, I was even more distracted by more sushi! Dang. Haven’t got laid in a while =X Basically, the train was somewhat empty after the stop in which I boarded. So like everyone rushed in during the next. The nerds got their seats next to other nerds, the cool-lookalikes opted to stand by the glass panels, and then, the older peeps just sat anywhere. Then came this… 40-40-40 thing!! and there was only ONE seat left in my section. She was trying to decide if she could squeeze in. OMG! Thank goodness it wasn’t next to me, and thank goodness there was this extremely appealing JC (probably year 2) gal on my left and some average student on my right. Heh. Lucky me. :D No, not that I’m discriminating or whatever. Its just a fragment of my memory from the morning… Hmmm…
